Top 3 M2H Articles of 2013

I started this blog about 6 months ago, starting my journey to become an otaku journalist. How is it going now? Eh, not too bad. Still got lots to work on, but before this year ends, let’s look back at my top 3 articles with the most views!

#3: Kill la Kill Opening Song by Aoi Eir (971 total views)

aoi eir

Actually number three was the homepage, but that doesn’t count!!! So I’m assuming this got a lot of views because a lot of people were looking for the download for the actual song. Sorry to disappoint, but this was just an announcement. However; I do appreciate the traffic!

#2: Araki’s Return to Weekly Shonen Jump (1204 total views)

JOJOEverybody loves themselves some Jojo. I remember posting this on a Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure group on Facebook. Shout out to my JoBros!

#1: Lelouch’s Return To Code Geass? [SPOILERS] (5764 total views)

lelouch(Yeah, you better smile you sexy son of a bitch, cuz you’re number !)

Yeah, I swear to God. So many people must be obsessed with this guy even after the series ended years ago. Every day, this article ends up as the #1 article on the daily rankings. Not like it’s a bad thing, so I appreciate your unhealthy obsession with Lelouch.

Overall, total views on this site is 18,605. Not bad for the first 6 months right? Well thanks a lot for your support guys, and I’m looking forward to another great years with you guys!

See you next year bitches!

JJBA: Stardust Crusaders Spring 2014

*Warning. Tentative news*

A report on 2chan was found saying that Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 3: Stardust Crusaders is getting a Spring 2014 release!

The post apparently says that some of the cast in the All Star Battle game will differ from the anime. The whole cast will be announced at Jump Festa.

Araki’s Return to Weekly Shonen Jump

rohanHirohiko Araki, the creator of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, is currently working on Jojolion, the 8th arc in the JJBA series, which is being published in the manga anthology Ultra Jump. However, it was announced in Ultra Jump that Araki will be returning to Weekly Shonen Jump with a new spinoff: Rohan Kishibe Does Not Change!

The spinoff will focus on Rohan Kishibe, an eccentric mangaka that appeared in Part 4 of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Diamond is Unbreakable.

The story begins with Rohan Kishibe being requested by the cook of the town of Morio, possibly Tonio Trussardi. Rohan is asked by Tonio to retrieve mysterious ingredients lying in the ocean of Morio.

It strikes me as odd that Rohan would go from solving mysteries in Europe to catching fish in Morio. Besides that we should celebrate Araki’s return to Weekly Shonen Jump! The first chapter is set to release on October 12 in Weekly Shonen Jump (No. 46). The series will be published individually on November 19.

JJBA OP: Bloody Stream Wins Award At CEDEC Awards

The CEDEC Awards (Computer Entertainment Developers Conference) is a conference for game developers and is the largest game developers conference in Japan. This year’s CEDEC Awards was held in Pacifico Yokohama, Japan from August 21-24. At the CEDEC Awards, they award those that have made remarkable performances with their skills with computer technology. This year the video animation studio, Kamikaze Douga, won the Grand Prize in the Visual Arts Department for creating the 2nd opening of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure.

The opening, Bloody Stream by Coda, was created solely for the 2nd part of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Battle Tendency. You can watch the opening below.

As some of you may know (or not), the opening was created by a studio separate from David Productions (the animation studio for the JJBA anime), and was created by Kamikaze Douga. The video was noted for visually expressing the unique characteristics from the world of Jojo and delivering a scamper-ish feeling, something that’s definitely characteristic from Joseph Joestar’s character. The use of 3D production for the opening was noted to be “raw and bold”, which also resonated with the charm of the graphic novel series created by the author, Hirohiko Araki aka The Immortal God of Manga. At least that’s what I’d like to call him.

"Something tells me that posing in front of the mirror naked has paid off."

“Something tells me that posing in front of the mirror naked has paid off.”

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is definitely one of my top five favorite series, and I’m ecstatic to see some part of it receive an award. The 2nd opening is also my favorite from the series. The things noted above included with the musical arrangement are my reasons besides my immense love for Jojo.

Remember my dear readers. It’s not good unless it’s JOJO GOOD, and Kamikaze Douga showed us why.
